Having grown up on these games, they hold a special place in my heart... but what is at the heart of these games? I wanted to recreate the classics to better understand design decisions applied to the limited technology at the heyday of arcade originals.

Pac-Man is a maze arcade game developed and released by Namco in 1980. The development of the game began in early 1979, directed by Toru Iwatani with a nine-man team.

Pong is a table tennis-themed arcade video game manufactured by Atari and originally released in 1972. It was one of the earliest arcade video games; it was created by Allan Alcorn as a training exercise.

Asteroids is a space-themed multidirectional shooter arcade game designed by Lyle Rains, Ed Logg, and Dominic Walsh and released in November 1979 by Atari, as one of the first major hits of the golden age of arcade games proving both popular with players and influential with developers.

Tetris was created by Russian designer Alexey Pajitnov in 1985 and has been released for virtually every computer and electronic gaming system, and it is often revered as a classic.
